William L. Elsbury      April 21, 2007

     William L. Elsbury, 79, of 915 Shady Lane, Warsaw, and North Fort Myers, Fla. died at 6:55 a.m., April 21, 2007, in Cape Coral (Fla.) Hospital.
     He was born July 29, 1927, in Waukegan, Ill., to Robert L. and Elizabeth Doyle Elsbury. He married Mary Miron, who died in May 1989. On Nov. 15, 1998, he married Mary Joyce Kelly, who survives.
     He was an accountant at Miller & Sons Lumber Co., Silver Lake, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and Knights of Columbus (Warsaw). He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed being with family and friends. He is in the Bradley University Hall of Fame for baseball.
     Also surviving are seven daughters: Mrs. Scott (Diane).Robert Coffin, Mrs. Terry (Teresa) Hand, and Mrs. Tony (Christy) Fleming, all of Warsaw; Mrs. Steve (Jamie) Elsbury, Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Tom (Laurie) Schumacher, Indianapolis; Mrs. Mike (Mary) Breault, Champaign, Ill.; and Mrs. Mike (Lynn) Rice, San Jose, Calif.; two sons, Mike (and wife Sylvia) Elsbury, Kensington, Calif., and Dave (and wife Amy), Elsbury, Indianapolis; three stepsons: ,Kevin (and wife Kathy) Kelly, McLean, Va.; Tim (and wife ,Andrea) Kelly, Brooklyn. N.Y.; and Brian (and wife Suzanne), Sandyhook, Conn.; two brothers, Jim (and wife Janet) Elsbury, Waukegan, Ill.: and Jack (and wife Phyllis) Elsbury, Wadsworth, Ill.; a sister Betty Canfield, Wadsworth, Ill.: 22 grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
     Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
     Calling will be private.
