NOTRE
DAME - Sister Patricia Gavin, SSND, 66, was born to Eternal Life
September 12, 2011. [She came into our world on March
18, 1945.]
She is survived by her mother,
Santa Gavin; her sisters, Kathleen (John) Barako, Margaret (James)
Jensen, Mary Ellen (Al) Young, Virginia Gavin, Ruth (Vince) Lugo;
her brothers, Martin (Kiki) Gavin, Robert (Yolanda) Gavin; her
sister-in-law, Phyllis Gavin; nieces, nephews, other relatives,
friends; and the SSND Community
She was preceded in death by her
father, Robert Bernard Gavin, and by her brother, James Gavin.
Sister Gavin had taught many years
in Michigan and served as principal at Sacred Heart, Warsaw and
St. Monica, Mishawaka, Indiana, for the past 25 years.
A Wake Service will be celebrated
Saturday, September 17, at 10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian
Burial at The Holy Family Chapel at Notre Dame of Elm Grove,
13105 Watertown Plank Road.
Friends may call Saturday from
9:00 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the School Sisters of Notre Dame or to St. Monica
Parish, Sister Pat's Scholarship Fund in Mishawaka, Indiana.
