Lawrence F. Pozorski      March 19, 2009

     Lawrence F. Pozorski, 78, of 711 Northside Drive, Warsaw, died at 7:48 a.m. March 19, 2009, at Veterans Administration Northern Indiana Health Care System, Fort Wayne.
     He was born July 21, 1930, in Monterey, to Felix and Gertrude Ostrowski Pozorski. On Oct. 6, 1951, in Warsaw, he married Ardith Hill, who survives.
     He lived in Warsaw for 55 years. He was a service technician for 38 years in Warsaw and Fort Wayne. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. He was a member of the Warsaw Bowling League at Holiday and Gilliam Lanes for more than 40 years.
     He was a Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict, with a rank of sergeant from 1951 to 1953.
     Also surviving are four sons, Tony Pozorski, Mark (and spouse Barbara) Pozorski and Karl Pozorski, all of Warsaw, and Paul Pozorski, Hoffman Lake; a daughter, Cathrine Pozorski, Romeville; two brothers, Ambrose Pozorski, Plymouth, and Joseph (and spouse Kathleen) Pozorski, Kokomo; three sisters: Mary Ann Best, Indianapolis; Evelyn Pozorski, Plymouth; and Florence Mathews, Winfield, Kan.; eight grandchildren: Donald Matthew Pozorski, Kissimee, Fla.; Chrystal Marsilett, Chris Conley, Amy Hall and Cara Conley, all of Warsaw; Chrissy and Michael Pozorski, both of Mentone; Angie Yates, Bourbon; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.
     Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Warsaw. Burial with military graveside services by the American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126 will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
     Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. A rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral chapel.
