Geraldine F. Steger, 89, of 1630
S. County Farm Road, Warsaw, Indiana, died at 12:45 p.m. Dec.
30, 1999, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 2, 1910, in Dunkirk,
N.Y., to Joseph and Florence Hayes Carrus. On Aug. 14;
1927, in Dunkirk, she married Stanley A. Steger, who died June
7; 1982.
She moved to Warsaw from Dunkirk
in 1977 and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and
its Young at Heart Club.
Survivors include a son, James
L. Steger, Warsaw; a brother, Joseph Carrus, Dunkirk; a sister,
Marge Rohr; Elmira, N.Y.; five grandchildren: Paula Bowman and
Lawrence Steger, both of Warsaw; Jay and Bradley Steger, both
of Indianapolis; and Randall Steger, Chicago; and 11 great-grandchildren:
Kandace Tom Herschberger, Kassandra Tom Rowland, Kyle, Kristopher
and Kaitlyn Tom, and Julianne, Frances, Curtis; Abigail, Sophie
and Hayden Steger.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Terry Fisher
officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, where there
will be a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
