Frank T. Vaccaro

Maj. Frank T. Vaccaro, retired,
84, died Feb. 28, 2005, in St. Augustine, Fla., where he resided.
He was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Bronx,
N.Y., to Charlie and Fannie Manganaro Vaccaro. In 1945, he married
Grace Bacon, who died in 1990. In 1992, he married Elinor Fitzpatrick,
who survives.
He wintered in St. Augustine and
summered in Binghamton, N.Y. He retired as an officer in
the U.S. Army in 1963. He moved to Warsaw, where he worked at
Bourbon Orthopedic Equipment (OEC) for more than 20 years. He
was a member of Sacred Heart Church for more than 30 years. He
also was a member of Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and Military
Officers Association of America.
Also surviving are three daughters:
Mrs. Randy (Jeannine) Klotz and Mrs. Timothy (Fran) Fleagle,
both of Etna Green, and Mrs. Michael (Denise) Wack, Warsaw; three
sons: Charles Vaccaro, Terre Haute; Robert Vaccaro, Mansfield,
Ohio; and Frank Vaccaro Jr., Columbia City; three stepdaughters:
Mrs. Jim (EIleen) Mosteller, Apalachin, N.Y.; Mrs. John (Mary
Ellen) Prikazsky, Binghamton; and Mrs. Bob (Linda) Hwalek, Brackney,
Pa.; two stepsons, Arthur and j Peter Fitzpatrick, both of Conklin,
N.Y.; 25 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by a daughter.
Services will be at noon Saturday
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. Burial will be
in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is two hours prior to the
service Saturday at the church.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel,
Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
