Thomas E. Waldschmidt, 74, of 800
E. Arthur St., Warsaw, Indiana, died at 2: 15 a.m. April 8, 2005,
at his residence.
He was born Feb. 21, 1931, in Fort
Wayne, to Edgar F. and Catherine Steinbacker Waldschmidt. On
Aug. 20, 1955, he married Shirley Blackburn, who survives.
A Kosciusko County resident since
moving from Fort Wayne in 1996, he was a reinsurance underwriter
for Lincoln National Life, retiring in 1991. He was a member
of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and 3rd Degree Knights
of Columbus Council 4511.
Other survivors include a daughter,
Mrs. David (Kimberly) Ladig, Fort Wayne; two sons, Edward T.
Waldschmidt, Warsaw, and Daniel J. Waldschmidt, Greensboro, N.C.;
and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with a 7:30 p.m. rosary
Monday. Burial will be private.
Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to
8 p.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
