Harris
G. Wright, 81, died March 16, 2011, in Sebring, Fla.
He was born March 22, 1929, in
Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Olin E. and Alice Lavonne Harris Wright.
On June 2, 1949, he married his high school sweetheart,
Marjorie L. Bauer, who survives.
He was a 1947 graduate of Columbia
City High School. He worked as a salesman for L.M. Berry
Co. for over 25 years, and later was a realtor for Dave Creighton
Realty, Warsaw, Indiana. He was a member of Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, and a member and shareholder of
Rozella Ford Golf Course, where he recorded two aces and taught
many family members to appreciate and love the game. He
was able to pursue his passion for golf throughout his retirement
by moving to Sebring in 2003.
Also surviving are a daughter,
Teresa (and spouse Dewey) Waites, Warsaw; a son, David (and spouse
Linda) Wright, Goshen; six grandchildren: Laura Wright (and spouse
Cliff) Miller, Saline, Mich.; John and Aaron Wright, both of
Goshen; Alicia Wright (and spouse Rich) Hoover, Elkhart; Andrew
(and spouse Lindsay) Waites, Frisco, Texas; and Christopher Waites,
Warsaw; four great-grandchildren: Noah and Owen Miller, Harris
Waites and Chloe Hoover; two sisters Linda Francisco, Stuart,
Fla., and Ann Jeanine Gehring, Scottsdale, Ariz.; and a brother,
Daniel Wright, Bartlesville, Okla. He was preceded in death
by his parents and infant son, John Louis.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m.
Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, Warsaw, with Father Philip DeVolder
