WARSAW - Marcella C. Yohler, 94, died at 12:05 p.m. Sunday, February 1, 2009. She was born in Effingham, Illinois to the late George and Anna (Overbeck) Westendorf. She married William Yohler May 28, 1938. He preceded her on March 19, 1969.

She retired from the Marion VA Medical Center, where she had worked for 12 years. She was an active member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, where she served in the Rosary Altar Society, the Study Club, and had been part of the Bennett School PTA. Recently, she attended the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Warsaw. She also had served as a Boy Scout Leader.

Survivors include daughter, Suzanne (Jack) Shaw, Warsaw; sons, Michael Yohler, Scottsdale, Ariz., John Yohler, Indianapolis, Stephen (Barbara) Yohler, Verona, Penn.; nieces and nephews, Tom (Rosetta) Beck, Marion, Marilyn Miles, Indianapolis, Larry Westendorf, LaFontaine, Marianna Scott, Newton, Ill., Norma Jean (Deke) Huddleston, West Liberty, Ill., Michaelene (Hank) Woronka, Gary, Gretchen (Robert) Bernardi, Ill., Richard Hallett, Monticello; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her five brothers; and three sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 5, 2009, in St. Paul Catholic Church, 1009 Kem Road, Marion with Rev. Richard Weisenberger officiating. Burial will be in Estates of Serenity, Marion.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion.

Prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
