Dixie Lee Klepinger Dill

Dill, Dixie Lee, of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born
October 27, 1941, in Logansport, Indiana, to John and Betty (nee Gaby) Klepinger and entered into rest Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at
her residence in Cedar Hill, Missouri at the age of 73 years, 7 months, and
13 days.
She is preceded in death by
her parents, and one sibling, Diana Selvio.
She is survived by her
loving husband, Max Dill, married August 30, 1963, in Sharpsville, Indiana,
two (2) children, John Michael “Mike” (Tammy) Dill and Danelle
Lynn Baumann(George Corey), six (6) grandchildren, Matt, Shawn, Allison,
J.C., Catherine, and Joey , three (3) great grandchildren, Aubry, Bryson, and Ava, as well as many other family and
friends.
Dixie lived in several
different cities during her active lifetime. Saint Louis; Evansville,
Indiana; Madisonville, Kentucky; Sparta, Illinois; Huntington Beach,
California; Des Moines, Iowa; and back the Cedar Hill, Missouri. In
each city, Dixie was active in playing golf, bowling in leagues, and became a
Life Master Bridge Player, participating in the International Duplicate
Bridge Tournament in Toronto, Canada. It
did not take long in each city for bridge players to ask to play with her.
She helped form the first ever girls softball league, and in 1975 was
named Woman of the Year in Madisonville, Kentucky. She also enjoyed
traveling with Max which usually involved her soft side for the casino,
specifically slot machines. She was an excellent cook and loved most of
all spending time with her family and friends. Dixie was a most kind and generous person,
respectful and was dearly loved by everyone. She will be fondly
remembered and dearly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Visitation
Wednesday, June 17, 2015, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. with a ceremony of
remembrance to follow, at CHAPEL HILL MORTUARY, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill,
Missouri. Memorial Service Thursday, at 10:45 a.m. at Jefferson
Barracks National Cemetery, 2900 Sheridan Road, Saint Louis, Missouri.
Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Anyone
wishing to attend the memorial service at Jefferson Barracks, please meet at
the main office building at 10:30 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks.
