Information from Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, Indiana.

     Eloise Mary Bixler, 93, died at 9:35 p.m. Feb. 3, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
     She was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Girard, Kan., to Sylvester and Lucy Gaskill Hogan. On Jan. 19, 1946, in Silver Lake, she married Guy Bixler, who died Feb. 21, 1989.
     Living in Warsaw for 20 years, she was a nurse for various hospitals and doctor's offices. She also was a homemaker and a painter. She enlisted in the US Navy Aug. 23, 1943, in USNH Great Lakes, Ill., and served as a pharmacist's mate second class (nurse). She was honorably discharged Dec. 2, 1945, in Great Lakes, Ill. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw. She was a 1934 graduate of Silver Lake High School. She enjoyed painting pictures and china painting, and was a member of the China Painter's Club and the Senior Citizen Center, Warsaw.
     Surviving are a foster daughter, Patricia "Pat" (and spouse Angus) Pecoskie, Sidney, Ohio; a foster grandson, Robert "Bob" Bowman, Bellbrook, Ohio; a nephew, Rex (and spouse Diane) Hogan, Warsaw; three nieces: Dorothy Ingle, Warsaw; Doloris (and spouse Bob) Maggart, Syracuse; and Shirley Greer, Bell, Fla.; 13 great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews too numerous to count. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Arther, Orval and Lester Hogan; a foster grandson, Kenneth Bowman; and a great-nephew, Don Hogan.
     Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Paul Bueter officiating. Burial will be in Stony Point Cemetery, Atwood.
     Calling is from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
