Winifred E. Cardarelli      9-20-2009

     Winifred "Winnie" E. Cardarelli passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at 2:20 PM in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
     Winnie was born April 27, 1915 in Smiths Grove, Kentucky to Lorenzo Dow and Lila Pearl (Casey) Cardarelli.
     It was on June 16, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana that she became the wife of Acky Cardarelli. In 1970 and after the passing of her husband, Winnie moved from Indianapolis to Leesburg.
     A homemaker, Winnie was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw.
Those left to treasure precious memories are her two daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Gary Eastlund of Leesburg and Sandra and Lars Anderson from Indianapolis; 5 grandchildren: Jeffrey and Patty Werth Anderson, Victoria and Tom Kremer, James and Jennifer Anderson - all of Indianapolis, Kip and Brook Goebel, of Granger, Indiana and Brad Goebel of Laguna Beach, California; 2 step grandchildren and their spouses: Carla and Kevin Milliman of Columbia City, Indiana and Sheryl and David Colquitt of Leesburg; 13 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers: Ray Hixon, Phoenix, Arizona and Kenneth and Mona Hixon of Galveston, Texas. Winnie was preceded in death by her husband, Acky Cardarelli and 2 sisters: Lila Mae Dundo and Evelyn English.
     On Tuesday, September 22, 2009 there will be a time of sharing with friends and family from 4-8 PM at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 AM Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw with Msg. James Wolf officiating. Burial will take place that afternoon in Oaklawn Cemetery Indianapolis.
