Leo J. "Lee" Heiman      February 9, 2007

     Leo J. "Lee" Heiman, 85, of 2905 S. Ferguson Road, Warsaw, died at 6:08 a.m. Feb. 9, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
     He was born in Decorah, Iowa, on Nov. 16, 1921, to Anthony and Sohia Uhlenhake Heiman.  On Sept. 14, 1946, in Warsaw, he married Constance M. Simpson, who died March 31, 1998.   He married Helen Heiman., who survives in Warsaw and Port Charlotte, Fla.
     His family moved to Warsaw in 1923.  He was a self-employed contractor, and a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw.  He was a World War II veteran serving in the European Theater from 1942-1945.  He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
     Other survivors include a daughter, Connie Gatke, North Vernon; a son, Tom Heiman, Warsaw; a sister, Rose Mary Kerr, Pierceton; four brothers: Paul and Dick Heiman, both of Warsaw; Ray Heiman, Carmel; and Bill Heiman, Claypool; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
     Services will be at9 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw.  Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
     No calling is planned.
