Heiman-Nelle.jpg     Nelle R. Heiman, 95, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away at 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.  She was born on August 9, 1922, in Coloma, Wisconsin, to Harvey and Flora (McLaughlin) Shafman.

     She was married on September 18, 1943, in Sparta, Wisconsin, to James A. Heiman, who preceded her in death in 2002.  She moved to the Kosciusko County area in 1945 from Wisconsin and retired from Warsaw Community School Corp. in the food service department, working at both Warsaw High School and Leesburg Elementary.

     She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Warsaw.

     She is survived by:

     2 Daughters – Kay (Bob) Tusing of Leesburg, IN & Kris (Mike) Byrd of Fort Wayne, IN

     4 Grandchildren – Mary Beth (Scott) Tusing-Lester of Eau Claire, WI, Jake (Kelly) Tusing of Leesburg, IN, Tony (Kara) Byrd of La Canada Flintridge, CA, and Sara (Gabe) Berry of Fort Wayne, IN

     5 Great Grandchildren

     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a sister, and 2 brothers.

     No public services will be held. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw, IN is in charge of arrangements.
