Chuck Hogan February
Hogan, 53, of 2602 Faunn St., Winona Lake, Indiana, died at 8:30
p.m. Feb. 4, 2004, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Sept. 22, 1950, in
Kalamazoo, Mich.; and adopted by Don and Dorothy Jones Hogan
in; 1960. On July 20, 1974, in Silver Lake, he married
Jo Ellen Dickey, who survives.
He was a member of Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, Warsaw, where he was religious education leader
and served as Eucharistic Minister and greeter. He was
a U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam era. He was circulation
manager at Times-Union for 20 years and an independent insurance
agent for 12 years. He was deputy trustee for Wayne Township
since 2003. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and Elks Club,
Warsaw, and Warsaw Evening Lions, where he served as past president
and was active at the district and state levels. He was
active with the Anthony Wayne Scout Council, including serving
as scoutmaster for Troop 3730 and Explorer Scouts.
Also surviving are two sons, Daniel
and Mikel Hogan, both of Winona Lake; his mother and stepfather,
Dorothy and Lou Sweeny, Warsaw; a sister, Mrs. James (Sheila)
Scovic, Lake Orion, Mich.; and a brother, Jerry Hogan, Warsaw.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Hogan, his
father, Don Hogan, and a sister, Marjorie Davis.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Father Paul Bueter
officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday
at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with a rosary service
at 8 p.m.
