Anna
M. Lewis, 95, of 189 Grace Village Drive, Winona Lake, Indiana,
died at 7:50 a.m. April 10, 2004, in Kosciusko Community Hospital,
Warsaw.
She was born Aug. 31, 1908, in
North Vernon, to Howard Charles and Margaret Jane Haley Daringer.
On Oct. 19, 1939, in Louisville, Ky., she married William
B. Lewis, who preceded her in death.
Moving to Warsaw from Indianapolis
46 years ago, she was a court reporter in Scott, Jennings and
Ripley counties and worked at the Indiana Highway Commission,
Diamond Chain Co., Indianapolis, and Lewis Oil, Warsaw. S he
was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Psi Iota Xi Sorority,
Indianapolis, and Rosary Altar Society, Warsaw.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia
A. Ballantyne, Rockford, Ill., and Clare E. Troy, Rochester Hills,
Mich.; a son, Seth B. Lewis, Brownsburg; two sisters, Mary D.
Banta, Seymour, and Francis L. Schultz, North Vernon; 15 grandchildren;
and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death
by a daughter, Susan J. Patrick, and a brother, Howard C. Daringer,
Jr.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday
at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, with Monsignor James
Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today
at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with a rosary service
at 7:30 p.m.
