Donald F. Mozdren, 81 of Warsaw,
Indiana, passed away at 1:35 pm Monday, March 31, 2014, in Grace Village
Healthcare Center, Winona Lake, Indiana.
February 21, 1933, he was born in Chicago, Illinois, to Frank and Frances
(Rezpa) Mozdren. He was united in
marriage to Sara J. Maryanski on May 9, 1959, in Chicago, who survives. He moved to Warsaw from Bolingbrook,
Illinois, in 1992.
worked in freight company operations for Transcon Freight, retiring in
January of 1988. He served in the
U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953 - 1955. He was a member of Sacred Heart
Catholic Church, Warsaw. He was a
Gold Circle Member of the VFW and was also a member of the American Legion
Post #702, Indianapolis.
is survived by his wife, Sara J. Mozdren, Warsaw; four daughters, Deborah
Stubbs, Whitestown, Denise (and spouse Joe) Reifsteck, Allen, Texas, Darlene
Burkel, Warsaw, Leona (and spouse Robert) Harris, Warsaw and five
grandchildren, Jordan, Brandon and Lucas Reifsteck, Allen, Texas and Vicki
and Ryan Harris, Warsaw.
Christian Burial Service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, April 4, 2014, at
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Father Phil DeVolder
officiating. Burial will be in
Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by American Legion Post #49
and VFW Post #1126, Warsaw.
hours will be from 11:00 -1:00 pm Friday, April 4, 2014 at the funeral chapel.
