L. Maxine Pifer      October 24, 2012

     L. Maxine Pifer, age 93, of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away Wednesday October 24, 2012, at 6:07 PM in Mason Healthcare and Rehabilitation Warsaw.  She was born November 30, 1919, in Kosciusko County, Indiana, to Charles and Belle (Daughtery) Pinkerton.
     She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. She married Anthony Wayne Pifer who preceded her in 1989 and then married John Kehoe in Warsaw on October 9, 1993, [John passed away December 16, 2012, less than two months after Maxine passed away].  She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Zimmer, Inc. with 18 years of service.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church Warsaw and the Sacred Heart Rosary Altar Society.  In addition, she attended Trinity United Methodist Church of Warsaw.
     She is survived by her husband John Kehoe [died Dec.16, 2012] of Warsaw, Indiana, children Steve (spouse Lois) Pifer of Savannah, Georgia, Doug (companion Kim) Pifer of Warsaw, Indiana, and Carolyn (spouse Mike) Leutes of Warsaw, Indiana; step-children Dixie (spouse Jim) Krause of Warsaw, Indiana, Pam (spouse Dick) Craig of South Bend, Indiana, and Connie (spouse Bruce) Hayden of Warsaw; a sister Louise Miller of Leesburg, Indiana; 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
     A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Monday October 29, 2012 at 11:00 AM in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Warsaw.  Calling hours will be from 1:00 to 5:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:30 PM Sunday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel.  Father Phil DeVolder will officiate the Mass.  Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery Warsaw.
