Thomas E. Witmer October 4, 2012
Thomas
E. Witmer, age 39, died Thursday, October 4, 2012, due to injuries
from a motorcycle accident near Warsaw, Indiana.
Born in Canton, Ohio, on June 17,
1973, he had lived in Warsaw, Indiana, the last seven years.
He was a 1991 graduate of Perry High School and the University
of Cincinnati in 1996.
Tom was a Managing Engineer at
Zimmer Corporation. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic
Church in Warsaw, Indiana.
Tom's passions were riding his
Harley, NASCAR, music, trap and target shooting, and supporting
PBS and animal rights. He was very generous to his family
and others.
Survived by his father, Norman
E. Witmer of Canton, Ohio; three sisters and a brother-in-law,
Karen Witmer of Cleveland, Christine McCoury of Dover, and Cynthia
and James Steiner of Canal Fulton; brother and sister-in-law,
Steven and Kimberly Witmer of Norwalk; 11 nieces and nephews;
12 great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend, Joyce
McCartney of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Preceded in death by his mother,
Audrey Witmer.
Services will be Friday, October
12, 2012, at 10 a.m. in the Lamiell Funeral Home, Canton, Ohio,
with Fr. William Kraynak officiating. Burial will be in St. John's
Cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday, October
11, 2012, from 5-8 p.m. at the Lamiell Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers donations may
be made to PBS, University of Cincinnati Music Department, or
